Fall afternoon in the apple orchards

While we still have plenty of beautiful, warm days, it is starting to feel a bit more like fall.

And a favorite fall family activity is heading out to the apple orchards of See Canyon.

What to do with all those apples? Find some ideas, and a little taste of the apple experience, in our recent story here.

We live over on the eastern side of the Sierra's and are coming to Avila for a week in mid November. Will apples still be in season in the canyon?

There should still be apples ripening on the trees in early to mid-November, though it is the tail end of the season.

One way to check is to go on the to home page of Gopher Glen Farms, http://www.gopherglen.com/, which will tell which what apples they currently have available.
